Studies have shown that youth do not utilize distress phone lines as readily as adults. They are often more comfortable reaching out for help from the anonymity of there computer. Without our highly-skilled and caring volunteers, we would not be able to support youth who are reaching out in a way that they feel comfortable.

Our chat room and moderated forums function very similarily to the Distress Line while catering to youths' needs. Experienced Distress Line Volunteers have the opportunity to further develop thier skills by becoming Youth One Crisis Support Team Members.
